Re opening Ceremony Class II - X and XII
"Home Coming"- Inaugural Day Celebration 2016-17 The school was reopened for classes II - X and XII after two months of blissful vacation with great pomp and show on 01/06/2016. A grand welcoming ceremony was organized in the auditorium for the students. Dr. BIjimol Thomas, Associate Professor Newman College, Thodupuzha was the chief guest for the function. The programme was chaired by Rev. Sr. Infant Treesa, the principal and the presence of the Vice-Principal Rev. Sr. Cleatus enthused the students. The programme commenced at 10 am with the prayer song sung by the school choir. The welcome address by Ms. Teena Beny was followed by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais accompanied by the head boy Mst. Sarath Santhosh and the head girl Ms. Anitta Joji. The chief guest in her address touched all the aspects of a good education. The honourable chief guest started her address by citing a quote of Swami Vivekananda, “Education is the manifestation of divine perfection already exists in man.” She also emphasized on the point that education is the most important weapon that can be used to change the world. She asserted that education should not be result oriented but for enhancing life to be honest citizens and good human beings. Sr. Infant Teresa, the Principal started her address by welcoming the Jai Ranians and congratulating the staff and the students for the wonderful result in both 10th & 12th Board Exams. She also briefed about the marvelous result. Jai Ranians expressed their gratitude for the benign of the chief guest by presenting a memento. A prayer service was conducted by Sr. Victima, Department of English in which she sought the blessings of the Almighty for the strength and courage to complete the academic year in the most successful way. Ms. Hima Kurian proposed the vote of thanks and the programme was concluded by singing the school anthem.

KSEB Energy Conservation Seminar 2015
A seminar on Energy Conservation was conducted in our school by KSEB on 18-08-2015. One hundred five students of class V attended the seminar. The purpose of the seminar was to enlighten the students about the conservation of electric energy. A number of tips for saving electricity was given to the students. Mrs.Shajida V.A Asst. Executive Engineer Thodupuzha led the seminar. CFL Bulbs were also distributed to all the students who attended the seminar. The resource person told the students to decrease the consumption of electricity by switching off the gadgets while they are not in use. She told the students that she will be coming again after three months and requested the students to produce the electricity bills of the coming three months then, to understand how much they have succeeded in saving electricity.

Independence Day Celebration 2015
Independence Day was celebrated with great pomp and show in our school on 15th August 2015. Principal Rev.Sr.Infant Tresa chaired the function. Sri Paul Thachampuram(Rtd. Hawildar) was the chief guest of the day. In his message he told the students to uphold the dignity of our nation. He advised the students to always keep in mind the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. Students have to fight against corruption, nepotism and exploitation. They should be models to others and have to study well to reach great heights so that they may serve our nation in a better manner. Principal Rev.Sr.Infant Tresa flew a dove, the symbol of peace. After the official function students performed various entertainments programmes.

Investiture Ceremony 2015
The deserving young talents of the students were bestowed with the responsibility of leading the school from the front. The members were elected through systematic process. Shri P. Madhavan, District Judge administered the oath of secrecy. The school parliament members took the oath of secrecy on 31-07-2015. The students from class VIII-XII were present to witness the swearing in ceremony. The function began at 10 o’clock and was over by 10.30am. The ceremony gave a crystal clear picture of the parliament election to all the students. The students were very much excited to be a part of it.

Lost and Found - Returning of Gold Chain to its owner
Ann Maria Baiju of Class IV B found a gold chain in a transport bus while she was travelling in it from Pala to Thodupuzha. She handed over it to the Principal. She informed the police and the police found out the owner of the gold chain, Sri Anish Karisseril of Ezhachery, Pala. On 28th July 2015 the above gold chain was returned to its owner in a function organized in school by Ann Maria Baiju of class IV B in the presence of the Principal Rev.Sr.Infant Tresa and Sri Gilson Mathew Circle Inspector of Police Thodupuzha. Sri Gilson Mathew CI of Police and the Principal appreciated the honesty of Ann Maria Baiju. Sri Anish Karisseril thanked Ann Maria Baiju and presented her some gifts.

World Ice Cream Day Celebration
World Ice cream Day is celebrated on 17th July every year. On this day the cookery club of our school under the leadership of Ms.Shanty George and Mini Joseph organized a fruit salad making competition for the students. It was a house wise competition. Students were divided into three categories, namely Juniors, Seniors and Super Seniors. From every category 8 students took part in the competition. All the groups prepared very delicious fruit salad and decorated it very nicely. Students enjoyed the competition very much. The principal congratulated the prize winners and afterwards the fruit salad prepared by them was distributed among the students and teachers.

Arts Fest – Extra Vaganza 2015
The School Arts Fest – Extra vaganza 2015 was held on 1st and 2nd July 2015. The Arts fest was inaugurated by Ms.Shalini Nimesh – Idea Star Singer, followed by the members in charge. The inauguration was held in the Auditorium-II. The Principal Rev.Sr. Infant Tresa grace the occasion. Mrs. Ancy Sijo delivered the welcome speech. The students enjoyed the music treat of Ms.Shalini. Master Jefin Jerry expressed his gratitude to the chief guest and all those who presented there. The off-stage items for various categories were conducted on 1st July from 11.30am to 3.30pm. The writing competitions for category II, III and IV were conducted from 11.30am to 12.30pm. The drawing competitions for the same categories were arranged in the afternoon from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The on stage items for category II,III and IVwere arranged in 8 stages on 2nd July. There were 8 stage Managers to organize the events in their own respective stages. Each item was evaluated by 3 judges. I express my sincere gratitude to all the teachers and students who have heartedly supported this event to become a grand success.

School Parliament Election 2015
The school parliament election was held on 24-06-2015 in the school computer lab. This year too we made it point to conduct the Electronic voting as every year. Three polling booths were arranged and students from classes V-XII were allowed to cast their votes. There were candidates contesting for various posts. Such as Head Boy, Head Girl, Asst. Head Boy, Asst. Head Girl, Arts club secretary, Sports club secretary. Master Sarath Santhosh was elected as Head Boy, Kumari Aneeta Joji as Head girl, Master Anand Sunny as Asst. Head Boy, Kumari Theertha Prakash as Asst. Head Girl, Master Appu S Palathinkal as Sports club secretary and Master Jeffin Jerry as Arts club secretary. The election was held at 10 o’clock and was over 2 o’clock. It was well arranged with the help of The Academic co-coordinator Mr.George Thomas, Mr. Sreejith Sreedhar, Mrs.Abitha Rani and Mr.Biju Kuriakose. The students were called out for casting their votes according to their roll numbers. The students were so much excited to cast their votes. Finally, the result was announced at 3.30PM.

Convocation Ceremony 2015
Convocation is more than just a formal ceremony for the conferral of certificates. It’s a time honored transaction that celebrates one’s achievements in the setting of the university to which one has a permanent place. This ceremony is an occasion which generates great hope and inspiration to each and everyone. The school organized it to honour the outgoing students of 2015 on 16-06-2015 in the school Auditorium II. The certificates were given away to the students by Rev.Dr.Sr.Bertha S.A.B.S. This solemn ceremony indeed provided a platform for the students to know how great it is to hold a certificate. Certificate of merit and be blessed by friends and teachers.

Environment Day Celebration 2015
Jai Rani Public school celebrated World Environment day to enrich the idea of ‘Green Environment’ to the students. On 5th June, members of Nature Club arranged Sapling distribution to the students. Inaugural programme was held at Auditorium II and sapling distribution was inaugurated by Principal Agricultural Officer Shaji M Manakkattu. Rev.Sr. Infant Tresa, school Principal presided over the function. Program started at 10.00AM with prayer song of school choir. Ms.Mariya Mathew of Class X C welcomed the guests. Ms.Parvathy S recited a beautiful poem related to the environment. Ms.Vijayalakshmi V of class X thanked the guests and formal function got over by 11.00AM. Afterwards teacher in charges Mr.Riju Thomas, Ms.Sophiamma and Ms.Sherin Janet Tom distributed the sapling and instructed the children how to plant the saplings.

Opening Ceremony Class XI 2015
Well begun is half done. It goes true with case of fresher’s day. The fresher’s day ceremony was held on 04-06-2015 AM in the Auditorium No.2. Rev.Dr. Anice Vechoor was the Chief Guest of the day. The day’s celebration was well arranged by Rev.Sr.Victima, Mr.Biju Kuriakose, Ms.Agiemol and Ms.Denny. The programme started by lighting the candle and each lighted candle was given to each student indicating, the light of knowledge, wisdom and power by Rev.Sr. Infant Tresa the Principal. Rev.Dr. Anice Vechoor enlightened the minds of the fresher’s with her inspiring words. She highlighted the need to be vibrant and provident enough. Rev.Sr. Infant Tresa addressed the new comers. She announced her expectation of children and promised each and everyone that she would be there in their needs. The formal function got over by 11 o’clock. The students of plus two arranged few entertainment programme for the freshers. There were various surprising games for them. The new ones were asked to introduce themselves. We had a very free and open interaction. The students enjoyed the day merry making. At 12 o’clock the children were taken to the school chapal for a prayer service to seek the blessing of God Almighty as we begin the academic year 2015-2016. Rev.Sr.Victima led the prayer service and the children were free by 12.30. They were given the class time table and were allowed to go home.

Opening Ceremony Class I 2015
The opening ceremony of class I was held on 03-06-2015 at 10 AM in Auditorium II in a grand way. On this occasion Mr. Gino M.S welcomed all the invites and Tiny-Tots. The function was inaugurated by Rev.Mother Bridgit Muthuplackal S A B S, Manager of Jai Rani Schools by Lighting the Lamp. In her speech she enlightened the parents how to become good parents. Our Principal Rev. Sr. Infant Tresa S.A.B.S welcomed each and every child by giving them balloons and sweets. Academic coordinator Mr. George Thomas gave detailed instructions to the parents and students. The ceremony came to an end by the Vote of Thanks of Ms. Jingle Rani George.

Opening Ceremony Class II - X, XII 2015
The Opening Ceremony of classes II - XII was conducted on 01-06-2015. Prof. K. A Aprem inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp. In his speech he enlightened the students to set a goal and have determination and discipline that leads to success and also the importance of positive attitude in day- today life situations. Principal Rev.Sr.Infant Tresa had given the message. Adv.Biju Joseph felicitated the ceremony. A memento was presented to the chief guest by our principal. Vote of thanks was delivered by Soby K Thomas and the ceremony came to an end with the School Anthem.

The 66th Republic day was celebrated in our school with a great deal of patriotic zeal and fervor. The day began with flag hoisting by our school manager,Mother Bridgit Muthuplackal,followed by band and national anthem. Programmes began with a morning prayer song by school choir. Welcome speech was delivered by our beloved teacher,Lalyamma James. Principal Rev.Sr.Infant Tresa gave an inspiring message on the importance of Republic day and its significance in our daily life more than it being just a holiday.This was followed by a patriotic song by Theertha Prakash and party. Jeffin Jerry delivered an exellent speech which evoked patriotism in all those who gathered there. Agish Immanuel and team performed an exciting skating display in the school ground. This was followed by a beautifully choreographed and executed saree drill by students of VIII A. Programmes in the ground was concluded by a vote of thanks by Vijayalakshmi V. The remaining events were scheduled in the school auditorium. Programmes continued with a beautiful speech by Rose Maria Shellbin. Students of VIII A performed a patriotic dance. This was followed by an informative quiz section by Vijayalakshmi and Manu. Both the students and teachers participated in the quiz. A patriotic dance was performed by students of VIII A and VIII B. The tiny tot of I A performed a solo which received special attention from the audience. This was followed by an entertaining dance performance by students of VIII B. We conclude our celebrations with an entertaining games session by students of IX A.

Observance of 26th Road Safety week from 11th to 17th January 2015. On 15th January a poster designing competition was held in our school on the subject Road Safety. 84 students very actively took part in it under the guidance of Disaster Management club of the school. Students came out with their ideas highlighting safe roads. Obeying of Traffic rules,discipline on road,correct parking and all such aspects came as their subject of the posters. The posters were displayed in our school for all the students to go through and understand the various aspects of Road Safety.The Principal congratulated all the students who participated in this event.

This year Christmas was celebrated on 12-12-2014 with much pomp and show. The Christmas committee of 2014’15 took the initiative for making all arrangements. Soon after the school prayer, we started the celebrations at 9.30 am with class wise cake cutting. At 10.30am onwards competitions for Christmas card making and star making were conducted. After lunch break, at 1pm Christmas ceremony was arranged in the auditorium. The stage opening was with a tableau-“The birth of child Jesus” accompanied by the carol song of teachers of Jai Rani Public School. A warm Christmas message was given by our vice principal Rev.Sr.Cleatus. House wise competitions for carol song and skit was also a part of this celebration. Solo by Ashly Mathew and dance performance of class IX boys made the programme much colourful. By this time Santa Claus reached among the children and gave Christmas greetings. At 3.45pm the programme came to an end with the melodious carol song of IX B students.

On 19th November,the school Nallapadam unit, arranged an exhibition of craft items which were made of waste materials.A team of 200 students from classes III to X participated in the exhibition.A wide variety of useful items most of them were of household articles were exhibted in the school auditorium.The students showed that,how waste materials could be useful by converting them in to beautiful and practicable items for conserving the nature.

On 22nd November 2014,a team of 116 students from the classes VIII to XI cleaned the Thodupuzha city.The cleaning was done in the early morning from 5am to 8am.The cleaning activity was conducted in connection with Malayala Manorama Nallapadam.On 21st Friday evening,all the members of the team stayed in the school and the teachers gave necessary instructions to them. The students arranged vehicle and removed all the garbages.They gave a good message to the society by undertaking such an activity.

Sneha Bucket Challenge was one of the remarkable project undertaken by the school Nallapadam unit.As a part of it,the students from classes IV to XII brought various kinds of provisional items like coconut,soap, paste, toothbrush, washing powder,sugar,coffee powder etc..All these products worthy of Rs.25000 were given to two orphanages.A team of 26 students and 5 teachers including principal Rev.Sr.Infant Tresa and vice principal Rev.Sr.Cletus visited two Orphanages i.e. “Immanuel Orphanage “at Thalayanadu and “Suvisheshashram” Kodikulam and handed over all the items to them. The Orphanage visit helped the students to develop a feeling of sympathy and affection in their mind towards thier fellow human beings.

The Malayala Manorama Zero Waste Road Show visited the school campus on 07-11-2014 at 3:30pm.The Road Show was in association with the project Zero Waste = 100 marks.The school was already registered with the project for the current academic year 2014-15 and reached in to the semifinal.The officials of Road Show evaluated all the arrangements made for the Zero waste projects by the school and appreciated the students and teachers for their vibrant support for the programme.The Road show team specially appreciated the Biobank facility in the school campus.
